Android phone running cyanogenmod 7.1, ice cream sandwich theme, ADW ex launcher, minimalistic text widgets and Hooge icons.
Love the ICS interface and the colors. Probably will stick to this one for a while.

Been trying out the old and completely geeky text only browser, Lynx which runs from the command line. Supports all windows versions and Linux flavors too.
All navigation is through the keyboard and no images are supported.

Facebook recently rolled out an update to its commenting system. Now, instead of pressing Comment, you simply press the Enter key to save a comment. More excitingly, however, Facebook silently rolled out another new feature at the same time: you can now edit comments! If you comment on a friend's status update, link or photo, you can now press the 'X' in the top right corner to edit it. Your comment instantly turns into a text box where you can alter what you've written; then just press Enter to save it again.
There are some caveats, though! First, if someone comments after you, your comment is locked; you can still delete it, but you can't edit. Second, there seems to be some kind of time limit on editing. The editing window might be as short as 60 seconds. Still, for those of you that have 'accidentally' submitted comments by pressing Enter, the ability to edit is a godsend.
It's also worth noting that everyone still gets email (and SMS!) notifications when you comment, and when you edit comments.

For plain text that you need to sync across devices, the best application out there has to be Simplenote. Evernote is the super app if you need text, notes, image and everything form of information synced on the cloud. But with simple writer, things are much more minimalistic. Q10 has to be one of my favorite apps on windows and it has to be the best distraction free writing app around. But i couldn't really find a good enough application for writing plain text on the iPad. Most applications weren't good enough and the iWriter, the best substitute that I found was for $5. Which i think is a bit too much for a plain text app. But I might try it out later. For now, I wanted an application that edited text files and put it up on the cloud. Enter text for Dropbox. It gives you a minimal environment to write plain text on the iPad and syncs it with a folder on your Dropbox. The dropbox syncing method was quite good, but not good enough. I wanted an application that could actually store text files in the cloud and let me even access from native applications on different devices.
The interface on fullscreen just shows the soft keypad and the text on a white background. Its comforting and provides for a distraction free writing experience. My favourite feature has to be the blackberry mobile app. It brings to blackberry, the same distraction free writing experience. And the blackberry's keyboard is perfect for long typing sessions. They even have other applications for other platforms. Like Resophnotes for windows, which is a minimal simple note based plain text application. This blog post was written partially on simplenote on the ipad and it was completed in Resophnotes. The sync works like magic. I am big fan of minimal applications which do one thing really well and also propagate applications which sync across devices smoothly, just the way technology is supposed to be.
There's not really much I can write about what you can use Simplenotes for. Simplenotes works just like a text pad which syncs to the cloud and that offers limitless portability. Use it to store pieces of code, information, to-do lists and pretty much everything you would need to access from anywhere, anytime.
The RSS feed from GoComics for C&H is pretty useless. So here's the unofficial RSS feed address.
